i think it is e, but i dont know why

C

why C?its not an STD..i think she is having cystitis due to repeted trauma to the urethra resulting in an ascending infection (if she had an STD like chalymydia or gonoococcus inf..she would not have a normal physical and urinalysis).......thats my thought...

I stand by DRUAS' choice wth the same expln/.

  #9

ok druas, even if it's cystitis, so voiding after intercourse is a kind of therapy! I've never heard of such a thingshocked

  #10

Main cause of lower UTIS in women is staph saprophyticus.. probably if the husband wears a condom is going to prevent infection..

hmmm good q

the honey moon cystitis is caused by faecal germs ascending the uretra , and the most common pathogen is E . Coli (feces).

i would go with E. emptying the bladder as soon as possible after having sex is indicated in females predisposed to this type of cystitis and not only , because of mechanical ridden of germs.

if the husband uses or not a condom doesn't seem to affect this a lot because if e coli is there , with or without condom goes up in the urethra anyway.

so , robin r u sure the answer is C? dr virgo??

E.Voiding after intercourse.
The case of E coli infection would apply only in cases where multiple sex partners are involved.- the case is not a description of honeymoon cystitis.
The catch ( I think ) here is Only husband -which is emphasized/occurring after sex-again emphasized.

Like Druas said, it is repeated trauma encouraging bacterial growth. Wearing a condom will not solve the problem therefore.

Two measures documented to reduce cystitis related to sex are
1.voiding after intercourse
2.using lubrication to reduce injury due to dryness (and therefore injury)

i agree with sunshine...it wont go away by wearing a condom
