Guys.... the q asks what is the most appropriate next step in the diagnosis. from all your good point of views... & from my own readings the answer here is thyroid scan.

If the Q asks what is the next best step... ans. would be FNA

D certainly, CORE BIOBSY CONTRAINDICATED IN THE NECK.
