is it good thing to do general pathology topics from big Robbins, esp its pics/graphs? how much time it takes?I think it covers molecular bio topics very well, which r increasingly appearing on step1. i have already done gen patho from goljan review of patho. My exam in June.

I have read 'Robbins and Cotran Pathologic Basis of Disease' but I think it's too much for step 1; too detailed; get 'Robbins Basic Pathology' (just right amount of details for very high scores) and 'Robbins and Cotran Review of Pathology' (highly USMLE-ish, case-based questions and answers with explanations) instead and read them together. How much time it takes? this depends on how many pages you will read per day - I was reading appr. 50 pages per day for both 'Pathologic Basis' and 'Basic Pathology' if I wasn't doing anything else - just studying.
