Mine took < 10 days to be approved and once approved get an appointment (10 days waitING).No questions asked in london as long as your documents are ok.You can enter 10 days early from approved date on your petition I-797 (i am not 100% sure on the last). Goodluck

Thank you very much bharatphoenix. I've been waiting for somebody to answer my question. Is that mean you have got the VISA but you are not allowed to enter into the US more than 10 days earlier than the starting date? For me, I definitely want to go as early as possible as it takes time to sette in before the starting date. I am even thinking of getting B1/2isa together as well so that I can make a visit there with B1/2 visa and carry on staying with H1B after the starting date. Sound a bit silly but do you think it is possible? kgyi2003

the best thing would be to ask the visa officer when u go for stamping.i did not ask i have no plans to leave early. 10 days earlier from date on you I-797. would be nice if we stay in touch as we have common issues for removals/banking/driving issues etc. good luck

I am working in UK at the moment . people are saying that it would take about 4-6 weeks for licence approval and then H1 processing about 2-4 weeks and my paperwork would be ready only in june . can i resign my job in may and still go for H1 processing in UK . or should i keep the job till end of june. ? please advice . hagrid

Hi, I got a prematch too with a hospital in NY and though am presently in the United states now, it sucks that I have to leave immediately for my home country to get the visa placed on my passport. This is the lawyers advice because my I-94 expires about 3 weeks before my start date on the H1B petition. I wonder if I have any other choice. Any advice for me at this time?
