I think I would go with B ... this is abt SCID gene therapy to the stem cells in the bone marrow ..actually I am confused between A and B..hmm

  #4

I will go with-"Gene for cytokeletal protein".eg:gamma chain of interleukin receptor, this protien is deficient on T-cells and NK cells in SCID. using bone marrow stem cell is a clue.illustration given in the chapter for "Recombinant DNA".

  #5

Kaplan immunology : SCID has several causes, it may be due to adenosine deaminase deficiency, deficiencies of class 1or class 2 mlecules, T cell receptors, cytokine receptors, and signal transduction molecules.

Kaplan genetics : SCID is caused by mutations in the gene for a subunit common to several interleukin receptors

Golgan book : SCID is due to deficiency in the adenosine deaminase deficiency and adeno viruses are used in gene therapy.

can somebody help me with this Q...pls? I am confused between choices A and B ...should I choose the choice A as in the Q they have not used adenovirus or should I anyway choose B?

Thanks
