Hi guys, This may seem basic or silly....but I just want to be as prepared as I can for Scramble. Hopefully, BBB will see this, have mercy on me, and respond. When faxing a program for an unfilled position during the Scramble, do you send a personalized cover letter for that program? We are thinking about using a fax service but am not sure about protocol for documents. We have a time limit for uploading documents for the fax service on March 14th and given that time is of the essence here....I am wondering what is most appropriate. Should we just send the documents listed below? or documents with a personalized cover letter? Documents to be sent are: Personal statements, recommendation letters, ECFMG certificate, dean's letter, medical school transcripts, CV and USMLE score reports. Thanks for you help...appreciate the support! Will

I haven't had to participate in the scramble for many years (I was just a child then). From a personal perspective, the PD isn't going to know if you are applying for "Bob's Hospital" on a cover sheet or just the "Internal Medicine Residency Program" I don't think it's necessary for a personalized cover sheet. Good luck

Shall we prepare a fax machine before March 14 if unmatched? Can scamble be done from ERAS or only by faxing to the unfilled hospitals one by one? I am wondering. Better to be prepared in advance than to be sorry, I guess.

Sorry, I don't have an answer for you on "your" side of the scramble.

Hi, bbb, as far as you know, is scamble done through ERAS or by fax?

scramble is done through ERAS or Fax, it varies according to the residency program
