Yesterday i read chapters 15,16, I did 50 q and read biotechnology from Lippincott(now this was interesting so I spent 2 hours from my sleeping time to finish it. for today is chapters 17, 18 and I'll try to make a compilation of enzyme deficiencies, and diseases from biochem. Next is medical genetics which is ok, and then behavioral science.
God help me and everyone

YESTERDAY WAS NOT A VERY GOOD DAY,AS I COULDNT DO MUCH.I DID SOME QUESTIONS AND READ A PART OF AMINOACIDS.TODAY IM DOING FUNGI,PARASITO IN MICRO AND WOULD DO AMINO ACIDS AND PURINE METAB FOR B-CHEM.STUDYING ONE SUBJECT GETS VERY BORING FOR ME.

thank God I finished biochemistry, I made a big drawing with all pathways , and corelations between them, and with all biochem diseases. It stays on my fridge until the exam ....and hopefully it stays in my head also.
Next is behavioral science and after first reading I promise to be a very active Q community member

I read yesterday and today 6 chapters of BS. It's really weird because it seems easy and in fact it's not. I got 60% on q so I can say that "I feel them!" This week is for BS only. Hope to get good scores for BS on weekend. Good study friends, tolito you are doing good, keep going

I am really depressed today. I read statistics and I didn't understand a lot of things. when doing the question i didn't know which formula should apply there...
well I 'm having a small break now, then I'll read psychiatric disorders and after that I read again the statistic part. God help!

hi Vallia. BS is tough. when i did Qs for first time i was very confident. they seemed so easy. than when the result opened i got just 33% . it WAS a shock. than after working very hard i could lift it up to in 60s. But you see now i treat them with respect and read the Qs very carefully. you must do the same. read the question vey carefully.GL

thanx for your reply i have also done my first read but i find it hard study continuosly i find lots of distractors around me hopefully studying together iwould be able to overcome this problem thankyou very much ....i will try to finish up immuno till monday

yes we need to treat the BS questions 'with respect' like malik says. i also discovered that the same 'respect' must be given to immunology!!

Well I finished immunology and i'm so happy because I 'm done also with my first reading of all subjects. It took aprox 3 months, and now I have an ideea about this whole thing, and I know what I should master. from today I'll start second reading with microbiology. I'll continue to add things in Fa and to do aprox 50 q /day. Aprox in 15 july I must be done with second reading , along with Fa. and then I'll do NMBE.
I wish all my friends here in the forum happy study and good luck.

keep on trucking vallia. you are getting close to the finishing line. i think i will finally lay immuno to rest tonight and continue on my sojourn with path. do you do qbank? they have some pretty nice questions there on immuno. will recommend them.

doing microbiology now, finished so far, bacterial taxonomy, structures, virulence factors, toxins, genetics, streptococci, staphylococci, , gram+rods (bacillus, clostridium, corynebacterium, listeria), gram - cocci-neisseria,the enterics( enterobacteriaceae, vibrionaceae, pseudomonaceae, bacteroides),, Haemophilus, bordetella, legionella

This is like a never ending sad story. I wake up everyday thinking about usmle, I am very very tired, exhausted, saturated. I'm loosing stamina as days are passing by. It's been 3 months since I study but somehow I can't get over 60% on Qbank. this is unexpected and i don't know what to do ..i think I will take a few days off and rest and reconsider my study plan. ....

well I'm back, I feel a little better as I see that i'm improving after second reading.
Just finished bacteriology, fungi, viruses. Today i'll start second read of pathology and I'm going to give it 2 weeks. God help me. Dear forum friends I wish you happy study and good luck

hws ur second reading going? hope it is much faster and easier this time. thx for uploading Goljan 500 notes. did u read it or Kaplan? what do u think about his notes personally? i just restarting patho in the next wk after i finish my micro. so this is a crucial point of decision making either to follow Kaplan or Goljan. pls let me know, around 500 pages of patho my God i think i need some solid 2 wks to wrap it up...aint it?

About Goljan I can't advice you because I haven't read it .. I'm reading BRS pathology , and Robbins review. I hope it's enough because i didn't like the style of Goljan (I think it's not for me...). I see you are doing good so keep it that way. All the best
