What is the blood supply of the visceral pleura?and is this related to the segmental ventelation of the lung(i.e. the fact we can remove segmedts of diseased lung rather than having to remove the whole lobe?

All serous membranes (pleura, pericardium, peritoneum) have visceral and parietal layer:
*visceral layer is supplied the same way as the organ which it lines
(e.g. visceral pleura - bronchial arteries)
*parietal layer is supplied the same way as the body wall
(e.g. parietal pleura - intercostal arteries etc)

this is a general rule, or an easy way to remember
