but slide--shows hodgkin ds ( RS cell). isnt it???

hmmm, but the history is kind of burkitt....jaw mass and a child...(i m really not good at slides)

lacunar cells ,so it is nodular sclerosis Hodgkins.

it's BURKITT"S : note the starry sky appereance and the typical presentation of a cervical mass in a child.

usually in hodkin's they show the pic with the "owl eye appereance" cells , not here , but here is no doubt about the foirst micro pic which shows the "sky"

thats what i thought...hodgkin is mainly localised to lymph nodes..plus age is not for a hodgkin.

any one else?

I agree with Kleila. It's Burkit lymphoma.
The low power shows number of pale tingible body macrophages (strry sky). In the high power, multiple small neucleoli, and clear cytoplasmic vacules.
RS cells have lobulaed nucleus different to this Fig.

the pic on the left is a starry sky appearance and the child has a jaw mass..its burkitts
