maternal mortality rate = number of maternal deaths / 100,000 live babies why is over live babies? if the fetus died, does it mean the mother's death will be counted in the maternal mortality rate?

maternal mortality rate is : number of pregnancy related maternal deaths/100,000 live births. It is a measure of pregnancy related health care.
