Hi everybody! I feel anxious b/c I cannot decide btw books for Patho... Many months ago I read Goljan notes (500pgs), then Kaplan after that - it made more sense after Goljan. For reference I used BRS. Recently I bought also Goljan book (Rapid review of Pathology) b/c the lecture notes are exellent but difficult for me to look at - plain print, no pics, no index, although I already took notes in the margins, underlined etc. I gave up on the idea that I will read BRS also. Thank God. But I still cannot decide - can I score high w/o Kaplan patho? And which source should I use for 2nd, 3rd, 4th revision? i.e.: Only Kaplan, Only Goljan 500 or Goljan 300 (the book)? I did not read the book yet, tried actually, but realised that it takes me more time to get familiar with it and "adopt" it as a primary source than the notes (almost twice the number of pages)... Sorry for the long post... Can anybody who used these books tell me which of them should I mostly trust b/c it is impossible to read and prepare from every book for this exam. Thanks.

Hi, I think if you are worried about pictures in the goljan notes then don't worry, you can see all of them in robbins review pathology. He(goljan) himself was referring the pictures from robbins.

Hi Shakeels. Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately I don't have Robbins review of pathology. I have the Robbins book w/ the Qs only. Do you think I should buy it or I could be safe with webpath - the site ( I do not have the CD). GL PS Shakeels, do you mean this book - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0721601871/sr=8-...

hi kate, incase u hav made some notes n added the extra points into ur kaplan after reading goljan500 , then fine to go ahead with kaplan... BUT if u hav not added anything into kaplan book from goljan... then i wud recommend u continue with goljan500.... i knw s its huge n tough to do thatmuch in the time frame.... incase u r not hard presse for time .... continue with goljan500... goljan is good n will be a big boon for the stps ahead also.. u can do well without kaplan.... (incase u still hav queries..can ask kingsofke) all the best, neo ps: this is just my opinion... do what u r most comfortable with..

Thanks neo, you are absolutely right. I don't think I put much notes in Kaplan Your advise is very wise and I 'll follow it. Thank you very much and all the best to you, too! GL
