Hi, I'm being confused by several different resources. I just want a simple answer: when to do these tests, when to check visual acuity ( Snellen's chart or just let the patient count fingers), when to measure blood pressure, I mean ortostatic changes:when and how? Thanks for responses.

I donīt recommend you to take Blood pressure (orthostatic or normal) to any patient. If you think it would be good to measure it, only type/write it down in your work up.
Why? because you will lose time and at the end, you have to ignore the BP you personally measured to your standardized pt because they say in the CD you still have to consider the BP they gave you.

chemamr is correct - no BP meaurements anytime...write about orthostatis on ur PN as investigation
no Snellens either - do the finger counting thingie and put Snellens as Investigation on PN..

Thanks dd, that's very helpful and relieving as well. For my future intentions is there any website to search for residency programs with required scores to apply and succeed? My Step1 is 203, Step2CK is 201 and now I have to take second attempt on CS. What might be the chance for surgery? I don't need any prestigious program,just normal modest one Thanks for reply. In addition I'm not US citizen.

surgery is consider tougher than most branches - but this year it seems more IMGs got interview calls - i personally dont know anyone coz i am a medicine guy..
but u should find online residency lists - jst google it !
