hi to you all , this is my first time in this forum i have a question about chances for residency ( internal medicine or pediatrics..) i have failed the exam many times i am thinking if it is worth it to take it again ( the last time i got 178/73 ) or not . i have a permenant resident card i have clinical experience in my home country ( Germany) and one last thing a very good friend of mine is a friend of a PD , after all this you think i have any chance .i really appreciate your help and your advice.

There's only one way to find out, go for it!!! Don't let failure stop you from what you love. See what your weaknesses are and start studying. Refer to this forum if you have any questions about resources or anything, it's great! Good Luck!

thank you for your help i really appreciate that. my problem was that i ignored phisiology and biochemstry completly , maybe i should focus on these subjects more and take the nbme first

Definitly focus on the three P's: Path (form Golijan), Physiology and Pharmacolgy. Also, from what I hear molecular biology and immuno are big. Questions are the key and yes, definitely take NBME before taking the test.

I would add, focus on the 4 P's: Path, Physio, Pharma and PD
