Which cells of the stomach are in the Body and Fundus, bot NOT in the Pylorus?
A. Mucous cells
B. Chief cells
C. Enteroendocrine cells
D. Parietal cells

is it a questionin the exam?? actually both parietal and cheif cells are same.

Pareital cells( aslo called as OXYNTIC cells) ocassionally present...in pylorus.

MUCOUS,, ENTEROENDOCRINE cells , are also present in pylorus

Answer is B.

As far as I know, Parietal and Chief cells are NOT the same.

Parietal cells:
-cytoplasm is acidophilic and they have few ribosomes.
-secrete HCl and Intrinsic Factor

Chief cells:
-cytoplasm is basophilic and they have an extensive RER.
-secrete pepsinogen and lipase precursor

Body and fundus have Mucous, Chief, Parietal and EE cells
Pylorus has Mucous, Parietal and EE cells (NO Chief cells)
