glucose to 2pyruvate make 8ATP

2pyruvate to glucose consume 12ATP

  #2

Glycolysis yield 8ATP from glucose to 2pyruvate yield 8ATP

During fasting gluconeogenesis occur ,2 pyruvate to 1 glucose molecule ,consume 4ATP+2NADH+2GTP in order to circumvent irrevisible reaction bet pyruvat and phosphoenol pyruvate, in order to get one glucose molecule .so total 10 ATP +2 GTP is required. So more energy is consume compare with glycolysis

pyruvate to OAA use 2atp

OAA to phosphoenolpyruvate 2 GTP

3phosphoglyceraate to 1,3 bis Phosphoglyerate 2 ATP

1,3 bisphosphoglyerate to glyceralde3PO4 2NADH

So total 10atp+2GTP
