IN DM there is hypertriglycerolemia in blood which icreases the delievery of fatty acids to liver. Liver is unable to couple these FFA with apoproteins to form VLDL and they accumulate in liver.

Yes, In DM there is very little insulin, so Adipose tissue can't take up glucose to make fat. (Adipose and Sk. muscle are Insulin dependent). Fat accumulates in blood and goes to liver--> Fatty Liver. Can anyone tell the mechanism of Fatty liver in: 1. Kwashiorkor 2. Alcoholic

Kwashiorkar: Hypoproteinemia------> decreases apoprotein availability Alcohol: Enzyme induction----> inreased conversion of FFA to C and CE.
