An examiner strokes a wisp of cotton across a pts left cornea .There is no response.The examiner then strokes the cotton across the pts right eye; bothe eyes blink.The explanation to damage of which of the following cranial nerves on the left?
A-FACIAL
B-TRIGEMINAL
C-OPTIC
D-OCCULOMOTOR

explain the answer plz

B. Trigeminal. afferent is carried by Trigeminal and the motor response is via facial.

corneal reflex V nerve sensory arm

facial is motor arm.

so sensory is at fault here. trigeminal nerve

coz the sensory limb of crnl reflex is gone(V2)

efferent intact....7th nerve...coz rt eye testn says both eyes blink..

is the rasonn rite?
