hi yall... this is my first post here at prep4usmle. i do have so many questions.. even after scouring the wealth of info at this site. i graduated some 5 years ago and have been working since then and now have decided to make a break for the usa. this sort of makes me an old grad i believe.. if what i've read is correct. i haven't attempted any of the parts yet, still assembling resources. my wife and child are american citizens (i'm not) and was wondering if it was a good idea to apply for my green card first before attempting all this are just go ahead concurrently. my green card applications are under way. will it make a difference..? there so much yet to glean from here. regards, asmd. re: imran khan. i have friends who have taken anywhere between 3-6months to sort this out from stateside. doing in from your country of origin takes even longer.

Check with an immigration attorney for this question - I don't have a clue.
