If you will join residency on H4 visa ,you will have to join as a J1 or H1 resident AND in both case ,there are some limitations in getting the job after that.But ,if your husband is applying for green card ( or applied it already ),then just wait for few months..and at least you will get work permit ..and your visa status will change...NO PROBLEM IN GETTING RESIDENCY OR JOB !!
But,if you want to know that u can give usmle during your H4 visa status...u can,and still join residency after getting work permit OR green card ![QUOTE]

Hi,
Does anybody know How long it takes to get work permit after My husband applying for Green card?
(in our state getting Green card takes 3-4 years  )
