osteoblasts are not found in a callus only macrophages lay down type I collegen after getting modified.

Isn't it depend on the stage...1st chondroblast then..osteoblast..then fibroblast....????

normal osteoblasts are able to lay down type 1 collagen and form new bone.
can't find about macrophages and collagen type 1.
