35-yr old male complains of a lump that is nontender on palpation in his left supraclavicular area. He also refers recurrent fever, a 10lb weight loss and pain in the lump on ingestion of alcohol. What is the most likely diagnosis?

A-Acute lymphocytic leukemia

B-Metastatic stomach carcinoma

C-Metastatic pancreatic carcinoma

D-Hodgkin's disease

E-CMV infectious mononucleosis

of course, it's D.
only Hodgkin's Lymphoma (Hodgkin's Disease was renamed) is associated with the 'pain in the lump on ingestion of alcohol'.

hey its hodgkin's disease. causes pain in the lymphnodes while drinking.

yup hodgkin's has a very specific but rare sympton of pain on alcohol ingestion which can also have fever night sweats and weight loss. mets from stomach cancer is a big distractor

specificities of hodgkins are

1. first finding is hilar lymphnodes

2. pel ebstein fever means every 15days have remission and again 15 fever.

3. pain on drinking alcohol

4. laparotomy was used to stage
