M2, I have already watched DVDs, & have things written down in my books. No time nor energy to see them again.
I really want to know you people'sexperience w/ obgynUW. Cyra, M2, platinum , acemle ?? I did them in timed mode w/ no problem.You guys have been getting great scores, as i saw in previous posts. Thanx in advance 4 your inputs.
 Have to go onto stats & psych now.

I haven't gone through UW for OB/GYN as yet 3535...i'll keep you posted once I do those.I think your score is pretty good...don't let it bring you down.UW has so much to add(thats what I've gauged from doing it for medicine and peads) and I guess its best taken as a learning tool.

Cyra,thanx & u r right about UW being a learning tool. Score is meaningless if u dont improve w/ help of UW by reading all explanations & also pace your timing w/ it.
My obgyn was 62 % (not 60 -oops) .
psych 68 %.
 Off to those explanations. gd luck!

i am planning to give my step 2 ck in mid june
i have gone through lectures of medicine,pediatrics
read medicine kaplan once
now going in for second reading
before doing pediatrics from kaplan
plan to finish by 31 march
also will do q of internal medicine from kaplan q book &bank
not doing usmle world yet
weekend is coming &i hardly find time to study on weekends
please God help me to study hard so that i can become a good doctor one day to help people plus myself

hi cyra , have a nice time in ur hometown ,
well i have started getting back with studies , done with dermatology from first aid , will have to finish medicine by 31st march and wanna finish my first reading by april 1 st week , got little bit in surgery and physchiatry and whole of peadiatrics ,finished watching the tapes for everything except physciatry ......will rush thro and get thro things , no use in getting depressed i think....lets get up and keep fighting ............todays worries r tommorows joy............

started with cardiology notes .......done with angina , gonna start myocardial infarction .........
do ull suggest me to do usmleworld before q Bank or the reverse???

Finish your first reading now karus & do UW. It's taking me almost 2 mos doing UW , hopefully I can finish it by this week...Almost done & I have started QBOOK. It's stressful but I tend not to be affected by it so I read a lot no matter where I am. I have other responsibilities but I don't care if people see me talking while doing grocery... reading while waiting in line etc etc. I bought a DVD player so I do it also when driving . tiny things matters to get stucked in my brain.
Okay offf to UW.... Good luck every hard working co team members..

doc81welcome.
even if you decide to do UW later, it may be better to start w/ Qns now. Like -QBook( best choice ,for now). Believe me, if you save every Qset for the time u r prepared, the time may never come.
I think there must be cycles of Qn & theory. And ofcourse SCAN explanations minutely.There's a high chance of getting in 50s & early 60s bec the Q in QBook is not chapterwise .But it may u speedup and make u better prepared when u start UW.
PS-Its just a personal opinion..Just voicing out what i think.gd luck.

i plan to start q book,qbank of kapaln along
go in for uw at later stage
plus the q give one a boast up &make u connected with the exam so that u are not just going through stuff just like that

senior members. I incorporated the "can't afford to waste time" sense from them.

hi guys ,couldt study as planned ....well , i need to rush thro and make my best out of me ............well guys ,still in cardio , hope to finish it by afternoon and wanna do heamatology by tonight ............so that from tommorrow on i will have to do with pyschiatry and pediatrics , how long will pediatrics take?????i m planning to read thro without wathcing the tapes .................
about pyschiatry i think 5 days will be enough i think ,what do u guys think ???, then i wanna start my usmleoworld.....................

regarding Peds... it's my strongest subject.. i read kaplan notes FA & B&W, my UW score was very good... Good luck you can finish that in 4-5days. W/ Psych I 'll do it for 3 days.. one of my strongest subject also that's why I did my weak subjects first...

hi everyone(acemle ,doc81 and all new runnersof this great race...)
actually our journal is growing with time...lets hope allof us derive the most out of it
anyways long time away. was busy rushing through surgery and am thankful to God I did it as planned. plan to start OBGY tomorrow and Psych the week after ...so april frist week i plan to be done.
to kar :with second read i plan to do the q book and FA and then UW with intermittently with third readand FA (i hope intermittent reinforcement pays off)and then final read in a week and the exam.
now i am looking forward to suggestionsand comments from u all on this time plan.

hi guys i really admire what u guys have here...keep it up...i have to start studying myself for step 2 ck but i still havent got my score yet so my mind isn't clear still.....abt books i have decided to go with kaplan lectures DVD and lecture notes kaplan..(i am waiting for the new edition)...i am planning to get UW and also Kaplan qBOOOK...DO U GUYS THINK ITS ENOUGH TO GET A REALLY GOOD SCORE OR SHOULD I SUPPLEMENT IT WITH SOMETHING ELSE...i know i am asking the same question over n over again...but i know asking is better than regretting...as i am still in a place where i can get all the books for really cheap price as compared to USA, i want to buy all the necessary books from here...please help me out!

in case u have too much time on your hands, nms Qns (not v. necessary)
Platinum,before i had started UW a friend (w/89 in 2ck)told me start a.s.a.p. bec when u start w/ UW u'll feel what the h--- was i studying till now before UW. i think kingsofke's plan is great--to do UW subjectwise,& PLEASE give 2 revisions to your UWnotes/incorrect etc. so do UW early now alongw/ subjectwise 2nd revision. ps-no need tobe scared of UW, its not THE EXAm,just a learning tool.
