I will also write my own journal to keep myself motivated to ace this test. I started my prep w/ Pediatrics. I listen to Ped. DVD then doing UW at night . I subscribe to UW for 2 mos. & accrdg. to everyone who passed this is a MUST so I will keep my spirits up & will do what I can to ace this exam!!!
Got 67% w/ Peds. UW for 2 blocks. Will study more to get a higher score.

It's past 11am. Time for me to have a break & do other things around the house. I quit working & decided to stay home to pass the test. In return got to do all the chores. it's still work but at least I'll have time to study for longer hours.
It takes too long for me to read all the explanations of pedia. I am taking notes of all the differentiating features of each diseases. I am sure this would make my rereading easier later on.

welcome to step2 prep. I am sure you will do great . you definitely seems very motivated. Keep it up (67 in UW is a great score) . Best wishes. regards

Thanks kingsofke! I've read a part of your diary too. Good luck on your exam day. I am sure you'll do great!
Meanwhile in my own world, i have finished UW Peds. Q's & my overall score is 58%. I will improve this subject more. I will still revise mech. of the lipidoses , dev. stages. ..
Quite a work but have to feel positive with all the coming works.
I will be starting Kaplan DVD Surgery & UW Surgery now..My aim is to finish it til Sunday.

The start of my Surgery went along fine. I listened to shock in a traumatic & non traumatic setting. Quite a start. Very
informative audio. I like it. Surgery is a weak area for me. I pray for success & victory after my hard work.

After doing Surgery UW 1 block, q's were simple & yet got it wrong.. Another weekend passed, did not finish Surgery yet.. got to add 1-2 days more . I will study more.. Motivate myself more to gain victory w/ this step.
I say to my self 10x.. I can make it!!!
TO reduce anxiety... study more..

hi motivated2 ,its a good idea to write abt one's progress , let me also join you , so that we can ace this exam.,i have done obs lectures and read thro it once and now going thro gynac lectures , planning to take usmleworld for 2 months like you ,lets keep motivating eachother

hi motivated2 , i m done with obgy lectures and read thro ob ,gotta read thro gyn and thinkin of whether to subscribe usmle world now in the first reading???i have gotta take this exam by may end ...........how long is surgery taking for you???i was asked to skip the surgery lectures and just to read thro the books for 5 days ................

today i wanna rush thro gyn and by tommorrow afternoon i should be done with it and do some questions from Q book for couple of days and get oriented with obgyn.....then i m planning to start surgery.................

I planned Surgery for 4 days but now's the 6th day bec. of some unavoidable activities. I should have not say that but i am planning to finish it by tonight. I am just doing UW & Kaplan lecture notes & when I finish all of these by subjects then I'll fill it in w/ qbook, FA & Boards & Wards. So I am pushing myself hard. Next for me is OB GYN too. Good luck today karusmle... Let's write our progress at least 2x a day...

hi motivated2 , well , yesterday i was busy with my step 2 ck and cs application and had to waste some time on personnal issues , today i m doing Q book , just going thro each question , and i m not assesing myself now , cause i feel it is too early to assess my self now ....wanna finish gyn by tomorrow and start with surgery ...........hope u do well on usmleworld ......by afternoon , i wanna finish 1 block of Q book , and now i gotta go to mail the application and my credentials ..........in the afternoon i m planning to study gyn....

hi moti,sorry , i couldnt message u yesterday cause there was some problem with my computer , well i m done with gyn ...will start surgery tommorrow ,hoping to finish surgery by 4-5 days ,not more than it ,tommorro i will try to read thro and from day after i wanna do the vignetts.......................just got into the speed , will race thro from tommorow onwards .......

Oh my oh my!!! What's going on w/ me. I am stucked w/ Surgery. It took me a week already..
WHY?? I think I have tooo much activities (outside of studying) Got to speed up.. I am moving like a turtle or like a snail...
I WILL Definitely finish Kaplan lecture notes & UW q's today!!

A very ggod start of my Sat. am. I challenge myself to accomplish my goal today..That is finish Surgery, go over my Peds. lecture notes then start w/ OBGYN. I am going to do this to decrease my anxiety level.
So let's get busy & make it happen...

Yes i finished surgery & started OBGYN yest. Going well..
I hope to do 2 blocks of UW obgyn today too.
BUT i think Im not pushing myself enough yet. I know i can do/read more but I have been sleeping like a bear lately...
okay.. got to get back to reading..

well , i finished trauma,ortho , pre op and opst op and vignetts for these, now in general surgery , surgery use to be the favourite subject of mine , but still it is consuming lots of time ......anyway , wanna finish general , and peaditric speciality and the vignetts of these too , and wanna finsih surgery by tomorrow ,
moti , all the best for ur obgyn , everybody is saying usmleworld is the best and they r asking to spent lesst ime in kaplan and more in usmleworld , hope u r doing well ,

Thanks for the tip karusmle... I just have some brief notes for OBGYN but yes I'll spend more time w/ UW.
W/ Surgery, the Kaplan notes' great... Then do the UW. I feel that I still need to do revision here so i'll go back to my notes again ...
