hi , im tryin to get in to any externship or observership program and the first place that i called immediatly said NO , bcoz im a FMG , so i want to know how to aproach such a situation , i mean should i go and talk to that specific person or shouldwrite a formal email, i have no clue wat so ever ....... should i keep callin the place till they give it to me , that sounds prety roud to me and i might end up irritatin that person plz need advice and help from any one thank u

Send emails to the programs that you are interested in. Ask. If the answer is no, then move on to the next ones. If you keep calling a place that has already told you no, don't keep calling. They may not have an externship or observership program for anyone. Here? We only accept students who are currently in medical school. And if it's an international school, we check the credentials (especially after we had persons telling us that they were students, they had documents from the school that were incorrect, etc. We won't even interview applicants from those school any longer because the letters from the dean were "misleading").
