hi, guys:
here i have a question according to the eligibility to the USMLE. my brother finished his five year course and got his bachelor degree of Medicine from West China University of Medical Sciences several years ago. But his speciality is in preventive medicine. is anyone know if he is eligible for the USMLE? We all get confused by the difference education system between US and China.
would you guys give us an idea? your help is greatly appreciated.

I have gone through this situation. I graduated from Shanghai Medical University in preventive medicine. He need a letter from his medical school to confirm that graduates like him are allowed to practice medicine in China. I have finally registered and passed step 1. Good luck. BTW, is he in US?

thank you very much for your information. actually he is in US and got his green card already. so from your experience, he need is a letter from the university that he graduated from .how you send this letter to the USMLE. you send it directly from you or from the University? would you please give some detailed process?
