ANS d) mucosal injury.. FOLLICULAR lymphoid heyperplasia secondary to viral infection inCHILDREN also pathogenisis of acute appendecitis.

I think the diagnostic criterion is E). Ulceration can occure, but for acute appendicitis, neutrophils should be the choice.

E is the right answer because appendicitis is an acute suppurative inflammation.

Transmural inflammation is the hallmark, otherwise how you explain perforation in acute appendicitis.

It has to be E... apart from neutrophil infiltration lymphoid hyplasia is another usual finding...but lymphoid infiltration is diferent from lymphoid hyperplasia...so I rule out C mucosal ulceration is not specific and characteristic of acute appendicitis... the best answer is E
