serum sickness is type III hypersensitivity with immuncomplex deposition. like if we give rabies vaccine or tetanus first phase it will give raise to a slight incrase in Igs later in the next time there is high level of antigen antibody and endothelial disrution deposition of antibody and causes various manifestations like GBS , ARF etc.

In the arthus reaction it is the skin or mucous membrane that is sensitised prior and there will be necrosis and inflammation due to Ig complexes and complement fixation and chemotaxis and cells
