Thanks for guys who posted their experience. They really helped me a lot in my preparation.

I just took the test on Feb 3rd. I agree that you need to have a solid step 1 base in order to be good in step 2. step 1 things were tested in different ways here. but it is kind of hard when i read FA step 1 again.

Some of the questions are very tricky. I was confused at first and only found out my mistakes until review marked qs. but only 2 blocks that i had time left. So I am not sure how i did overall. I got 75% in kaplan qbank.

kaplan qbank is very good for preparation in training your speed. timing is critical. I am sure you can figure out most questions if you have enough time.

i wanted to know how good is kaplan q bank? is it good enough to get a score of 90? I dont have time to do UW so want to know whether kaplan q bank is enough?

I am not sure. but i think it is pretty close. it is very hard to express the feeling. i will say qbank will enhance your performance in some way. but there are always some knowledge weakness missed by every source. it is step 2 anyway. but if you are good in clinic rotation and mock exam, plus qbank i think it is good enough for 90s.

do usmleworld, that is very very good. also i would advise anyone to do the nbme self assesment a week or two before the exam so that you are confident and can go in the exam with a very positive frame of mind.

hi everybody..conrats dr.sharvil....ur words ve inspired me a lot...
can u guide me a bit pls..me doing mbbs finalpart one...in india..i want to appear in step 2ck first..is it a good idea?my internship starts in jan2008...wil preparing from now give me an edge over others?can mbbs studies plus step2ck prep be done together??? pls advice me..am very confused
