Hello to all STEP CK taker
I am IMG from pakistan, appeared in ck yesterday after a study period of 4 month and refered only Kaplan notes with DVDs lecture , and did question from kaplan CK Q book and some question from USMLE world but i am sure or postive if u study kaplan (evey has their own experence) and plus listen to DVDs it helps a lot and push ur score above 90. But beside that i want to add for those who really want to above score 90s and have no confident in themself then please after first reading of notes do question with time clock infront of them, its not only knowledge that get u test pass but time managment has a big factor or in other way how quickly you respond the problem. Kaplan is not the test of ur knowlege, it a test of how quickly u respond right.
After these useless take now i want to write some thing about my experience of the exam. I had faced most of the question regarding initial symptom of SOB in medicine most of question was so lenthy that it felt i am not able to done it on time and this happened too after doing inital 30 questions the remaining question i just fired the answer. So guys time is the main factor beside knowledge so do practice question with time improve ur reading skill if u have not master in it. In keeping in mind of these to thing that is TIme and Reading power then i am sure no body beets u in the battle .

thanx for the information u provided us, is it possible to finish whole syllabus in three month, actually i have to take test on april 25, so i am quite anxious. is kalpan material is sufficient or i will have to do some thing else... thank you

Well its depend on person to person, how quick he or she is in there reading, if ur good then u can do it if not then 6 month is not enough. What i am saying is that if u are able to understand problem or question matter or material in ur notes that indicate ur are reading to give the test. So it depend and i have no answer for the question about duaration of studies, don't look other, look urself, how much good are u.
For study material i can say that Kaplan notes plus DVDs lecture (if u can get) are the best combination and I must say that these are sufficent, why i am saying dvd too because except in pediatric ( thought there is some addition information on peds video too but of no use) video lecture contain addition information or i can say that it divert u to study in exam way (if u have no experience of videos, if u have just ingnore it).
USMLE WORLD question, they add some additional information and guide u how the question structure is.

to padmani,
how many times have u read through the entire kaplan lecture notes?? have u tried kaplan q-bank? other than usmleworld, do u recommend any other questions to do?
