I always used to get simple answers on immunosuppressive drugs wrong..after reading these from FA,I feel they ask very simple qs on immunosuppressive drugs like at the most they may ask MAO...(I am talking about nbme).

malinda when is your test? I am taking mine in first week of may. could you please give me some pointers as to what you found was helpful or worthless while your studying. Pleas any advice will be appreciated
Also i wanted to know where did you study 2nd messengers from? Kaplan Biochem or some other book. and finally about neuro... Is kaplan enough or should i buy the high yield book.

hey chazan,for neuro,I would advise to buy HY neuroanatomy if you have not read kaplan already.otherwise stick to one book..For second messengers ,yes kaplan biochem and finally FA.and also I found a very good description on kaplan pharma in the second chapter..or the first(I forgot)..
rest I can only guide after 9th of march..let me be in a position to guide buddy

what do they say...sugar in your mouth ..
sorry guys..but I feel very very strange.I had read in stories that you get butterflies in your stomach when you are in love,I am having butterflies,worms,insects,birds...everything going in my stomach right now... I cant sit in my chair more than 5 seconds without changing position..I am feeling so wierd that I want to laugh out lound or bang my head against the wall.Cant I get an earlier date???well it will be embaressing if I came back with low scores or the worst,as I AM TOTALLY WASTING TIME ON COMPUTER ...but I am so restless..GOD PLZZZZ BE WITH ME..

I am so scared.I am not able to relax ...I dont know why is this happening.May be bcz its my second attempt,,and may be bcz the first failure has taken away all the confidence in me deep down.Every second is precious..I KNOW!!I am so saturated.God plz help me.

DAY 4(I cant put enough of these )
so faR I am not on target.I was supposed to finish pharma yesterday,but I got such a bad panic attack that ended up with having a relaxing evening..I feel like the biggest sinner on the face of this earth..In the last 4 days,how could I watch tv and actually enjoy that????
I feel so saturated and full with studying.Its not that I know a lot ,its bcz I delayed this stupid exam for such a long time that now it feels like I have been studying for centuries and HOENSTLY I CANT DO IT ANYMORE.PLZ PLZ GUYS WHO ARE THINKING ABOUT TAKING THIS EXAM,FROM THE FIRST DAY,MAKE A PLAN,STICK TO IT,GO TO THE LIBRARY EVERYDAY,AND DO IT IN NOT MORE THAN 6 MONTHS...OTHERWISE YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR CONCENTRATION,ENERGY,WHATEVER YOU HAVE POSITIVE IN YOU..
Well today,I am starting with the left overs from yesterday,,,yes pharmacology.God I start the day in your name,,,plz be with me.

hmm..you know what..this is a very good question..But the thing is if God forbid I flunked or passed with a really low score,,I wont be on this forum with the same ID...may be I will call myself"dumble bumble",,,or "the burning train may be"...who knows...But if I passed with flying colours ..I PROMISE I WILL LEAK ALL THE INFORMATION.EVEN MY HOME ADDRESS!.I will be a proud owner of a PROUD score so I will invite you all to my home for lunch or dinner.

Just 3 days before the exam, why don't you review FA? Lots of people advise FA in the last days before the test.

Robin I am doing FA.only FA.Its not possible to do kaplan in the last days..and it is crazy not to do FA in the last days..GUYS ...LAST DAYS!ONLY FA.DONOT TOUCH ANYOTHER BOOK.

zzzz..I am planning to write a detailed guide once I am done with the test.I really feel that there is not enough guidance for us.People who have sisters,brothers,friends,some one to guide them thoroughly get very good scores usually..Honestly I was so desperate that I spent 6 months in just realizing how should I study and still I feel like a fool to do so many things wrong..
One can guide a newcomer from scratch I believe..even on every page of kapla,what should be read with concentration and which should be just given one reading..when to start q bank,when to do nbme...I wish someone has told me all this before..
stick to this forum..and dont take any breaks in the preparation.even a week's break can be devastating.slow and steady wins the race..I feel I know much better for step 2 as what to do.

general pharma...another HY topic..for boards agonists,antagonists are important.fromulas are important.p450 is important.and second messengers are very very important.half life..there will be a calculation on exam one way or another..
Oh dear!!I am so shaky.This is definitely not an easy exam..and they make sure you know everything.HATS OFF TO PEOPLE WHO SCORE A 99..I just wonder how they do it.
Now I am starting anatomy.I have made notes from HY for anatomy..and definitely FA.from gross anatomy,upper limb,lower limg and the last section on CNS is important.and a few topics here and there like blood supplies etc etc.
why the heck I am telling you all this right now..I dont even know this stuff my self..anyways plz guys,pray for me..

hi malinda you are doing great & your tension is so natural i wanted to ask you that did you add material from your kaplan books into your FA or you are reading FA only. another thing iam doing patho from kaplan but i am seeing everybody is using goljan is goljan really very necessary or i wll be ok with kaplan only my problem is i already read kaplan path & iam on my sec.read.plz address my qs.thankls i know your time is so important but i know your help for the other people will also be considered in God's decision & you are always in my prayer's.i like hard working people.good luck.

well honestly I just did kaplan and I was scoring only 40 to 50% in my tests.I listened to goljan lectures and I am scoring 70% on patho and even more..(no bragging).GOLJAN IS A MUST.YOU JUST CANT GO WITHOUT LISTENING TO HIM.YOU CAN ANSWER 80% QUESTIONS ON STEP 1 WITH MEMORIZING HIS 500 PAGE NOTES (I BELIEVE SO).
and yes add notes from kaplan on FA right from the start of your preparation..This is the only good thing I have done so far.

hi malinda, i wanted to ask u at this point before the exam what is your main regret concerning your preparation, like if you had to start prepping all over again what would u do differently? and please try and relax though a little anxiety is necessary i think to keep our adrenaline pumping.

hmmm..well if I passed with good scores...NO REGRETS AT ALL. .I am just scared of not doing enough questions..
I may sound a total paranoid...but I irritated my husband so much that he allowed me to take form 1 again,but not form 3 or 4,he believes I will run away on 9th march.
Hey guys,,I scored a 530 on form 1.again I retook it so cant say where I stand.But something is happenign good inside me..I FEEL CONFIDENT.
now I am having dinner and then anatomy..
