Respiration is Good in FA for quick revision in the last days.I would highly recommend the pictures given in FA..

okay so just did the 3rd and last block from USMLE CD and got 39/50 correct that makes
37/50,37/50,39/50...so that makes an average of 75%.
anyways I am moving on to GIT pathology.

hmm..there is so much to revise in these last days..and it seems like never sufficient.I am going thru so many mood swings,depression,paranoia,anxiety,panic attacks,hallucinations(literally I hear babies crying,things floating in my peripheral visual fields,),and now I have fine tremors in my hands,without exaggeration,my hands shake like crazy.I am drinking like 4 cups of coffee mixed with a tea bag every day,and I want to cry all the time on wierd things,I ask my husband a 100 times in a day"should I delay it"..then I ask"should I get an earlier date"....GOD!!

Calm dawn Malinda.
You have done great so far.And do not take that much coffee.To much coffee can give symptoms similar to anxiety.I had many of those in school.By this time you are alert by your self.Take warm milk instead.or take warm shawer.

yeah 
so I completed neoplasia section of FA patho too.I tend to forget many points from this section and reading people's experiences,I assume it is a HY topic.so I have marked it in the list for last day (or even last secondrevision).
Now I am left with congenital diseases.and I am officially done with patho for step 1 exam.I am so tempted to read goljan 500 pages one more time..may be I will.But he is the best.

easier said than done...
okay todays target is a huge one.I have to finish microbiology and immunology..from FA.So I am starting off with micro bacteriology.

finished 15 q bank qs...My biggest fear I have not done 100% of q bank..just 65%.

please please please calm down...don't panic, you've prepared well... and leave the rest upto God, he WILL take care of you.
This is crutal time and you need to revise with full concentration.... you're doing really good. Just stay calm okay.

hey thanx kk..I am trying jard to relax.
after 6 days it will all over(for good hopefully)..There is no earlier date available and I really want to write the test earlier than 9th.
I think about the good things I will be doing once I am over..NO BOOKS... WOW.I can waste time without any guilt.I can go out side without my books in my hand all the time.I can sleep early without any regret of not reading something.I can sleep late while my husband goes to office..I can watch movies without thinking which movie will take the least time..I can sing,I can dance,I can fly..I can clean my house,cook food after such a long time,play with my son..I WILL BE FREE FOR 3 WEEKS...
okay back to reality.I am half way thru bacteriology,and done 25 qs so far.

just 2 pages left from bacteiology.
I AM SCARED.I am doing some qs and I am doing bad.I dont know where I stand,what my nbme scores correlate to,that 360 has doomed me.My husband doesnot want me to take any other nbme as he thinks I will lose my confidence and do really bad on whatever I already know..He is right in a way as I am devastated by that 360 on nbme form 3..But I am going for the test.whether my decision is a good one or a bad one,I DONT KNOW.But these 6 days are LONG DAYS.these are the toughest days of my life.I am so scared of the outcome.
Hmm..I feel so trapped.AND ALL YOU PEOPLE ARE SO SMART.when I think about that,I feel so depressed.Look at all the exam experiences.I feel I am the most dumb person on the face of this earth.I am not even close to what these people are.HOW DO THEY SCORE SUCH HIGH SCORES???and they are so comfortable with all this.
The more I think,the more I get crazy.and why the heck am I reading all those exam experiences.???
anywaysI am now moving on to virology.I want to go home...I am feeling so down.

malinda, don't think too much. You can do it. No matter what will hapen, it's not the end of the world. Your husband is right, i don't think it's a good idea to do another nbme. In these last days, just do your best to prepare, concentrate on your study and pray a lot. God bless you.

Dear Malinda
It always amazes me how our brain pull the bad experiances we had than the good ones.You forgot that you got 510 on nbme.Forget the one with 350.You took it,it helped you to know your weak areas and you studied hard and got 510.That is why we need the sample tests.
And do not let some exam experiances to shake your confidence.You will do great.Just relax.You have done your best and now is the time to surrender all to God.My prayers are with you.

Hi malinda,
Please please please don't be so negative at this point in time... it will not help you. You just need to sit back for a few minites and take a deep breath or two, and keep doing what you have been doing.
You have been working hard.... everyone believes in you ... you just have to do the same, and then see the results... they will be very good.
just a few suggestions (I hope you don't mind)... first, I dont' think that you should go through exam experinces if they shake you up that much. Just do what you have been doing. And secondly, I think that you should continue to do questions, but if the scores shake you up then maybe dont' evaluate youurself.... just keep doing them without looking at the marks... just look at the answers.
I wish you all the best, and I hpe you find the stenght to get through these toughest days with srenght and courage.

I am sooooo blessed to have people I dont know and they care about me and take time to write a few words of encouragement.
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH.I feel much better now.only 5 more days almost now.I have done 60 qs today and I ended up in getting good scores,,God seems to be helping.I believe every question is important and counts..and score shoots higher.
Now I am doing virology.hope to finish it in an hour.

malinda please don't let this exam scare u. i'm sure you are very well prepared considering your last NBME. try not to pay attention to other exam experiences, most of us aren't robots who have photographic memory and we also have lives outside of usmle. in my case besides studying for step 1 i have to manage finishing med school and being a single dad. since for us it takes so much more effort to get thru this it will be wonderful once we are finished. just think of the satisfaction you'll have once you are walking out of prometric. maybe it would help you if you think of the exam not as some great beast, but do it waterboy style, think that the exam is a little harmless puppy and that you are its master. i wish u the best
