Name two contraindications for the use of digoxin.

digoxin is contraindiacated in ventricular arrhythmias and known cases of hypersensitivity.and also HOCM

Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy -- incrsed force of contaction is detrimental in this disease Wolf-Parkinson-White Syndrome -- because of the vagomimetc effect which blocks av node and helps reentry and precpitates AF or VF Hypokalemia it is because both case QT prolongation and increase chances of heart block Acute Myocarditis

CI in ventricular fibrillation and patients with diastolic heart failure

yes wpw syndrome...

and treatment for it is ibutilide{wpw} not digoxin

adults with the syndrome (WPW) should not take digoxin because it can facilitate conduction by the extra pathway and increase the risk that atrial fibrillation will degenerate into ventricular fibrillation.
