Hello! Due to circumstances I had to leave USA in the middle of the interview season and and will be coming back to the USA for one last interview on 15th feb... Also, since I have only 4 interviews (will be ranking only 3), I must stay prepared for the post match. What I want to know is there any reason why I should stay longer after my interview is done? If postmatch is all about phone/fax, why can't that be done from the home country? .... Also, does one have to go in person to sign the contract or can the papers be mailed to-n-fro...? Thx...

As far as I know you dont need to be in the country.Interviews are always by phone. I am sure that you dont need to be in US for signing the contract. They mail you the contract which you have to sign and return. I am sure that you need at least, 2free phone line and fax machine and some body very fluent in english to talk to the cordinator and enquire when you might be actually interviewing with the program director of another program. Remember that the time is limited. But it would be to take the advice of a person who has really gone through the process.
