Answer is D. Its asking what carries the genetic code or codes for diptheria toxin. Genes expressing the diptheria toxin originally enter C. diptheriae as part of the DNA of teh temperate corynephage. Integration of this temperate phage results in a stable prophage, which directs the production of diptheria toxin.
