As far as I know reenterin the categorical program rom the beginning and then applying for an year examption may much easier than directly trying to enter a second year position

But many programs will want to know why you are applying for a first year again. To my knowledge, there isn't a "list" - most of the calls that I receive about second year spots are from friends of applicants. Good luck

I know Univ of Maryland and UMass, Worcester has some slots for PGY-2s.

Judging by the applications that I am getting many programs in Bronx, NY and Brooklyn, NY will be having openings.

go to findaresident.com and register by paying 30 dollors,u will find some second year positions therein,goodluck.
