Hepatitis core antibody is an IgM but later turns into an IgG in chronic or recovered. (according to First Aid)

What is it during the window? IgM or IgG?
-I think it should still be an IgM (acute infection)

When exactly does it turn into an IgG?
(I'm asking because according to Goljan lecture: people with chronic infection have HBcoreAb but its still an IgM)!

Isn't this a rule: (?)
In acute inflam: IgM
In chronic inflam: IgG

Thanks.
