Hi all,
Well yesterday I studied only few pages in FA & patho.I think I'm too slow in reading.

I'm going to prepare a study schedule now.I didn't study upto now today b'se of visitors.Ok, I'm going to start my reading now.

Dipti : Good luck for you too. When did u start ur prep: From today or did u start it earlier?. If u started it earlier please give me any suggestion about the preparation. Is Kaplan & FA enough?.How many times I have to read Kaplan before the exam?.How long it will take to finish the 1st reading ?.

Good luck all!!!!!!!!!!.

Hi Dr study serious,

I'm also just like you; came to the USA two months back, recently married. I too need to be serious. But too slow. I need a competitor. So you are there as one just like me. We will go this journey for a victory. I'm aiming to do in May. See "mal diary" and I've posted my daily routine to "malik's diary" Good luck!

thanks study serious,
i started long back but could finish 1 reading in in 3 months.as we had to move twice due to my husband's job and some other family matters it was not possible to study continueously.but till now i have got orientation of all subjects except behavioral science.but after 1month gap i startes very seriously though i cant recall much from 1st reading but poeple say that happens.so without worrying keep reading
most imp thing..please make a time table for study
and stick to it AT ANY COST.kaplan is enough if you have recent editions.for patho i dint find it sufficient so i bought brs patho.its a good book.and goljan audio.here is one site doctok.com you can download his files from step 1 section.
i have 2001 edition of kaplan so i bought some other books to supplement it
brs physiology.
high yield anatomy
high yield behavioral science
usmle road map for neuroanatomy.
its all upto you that how much you retain from 1st reading.i have heard upto 3 reading are much sufficient.so i am so sorry i cant tell you exact how much time for 1st reading.but if your concepts are clear it should not take more than 6 weeks.read FA with that.if possible make additions in FA so it will be easier for next reading.
of course, everybody has different methods.but whatever you plan please follow it.
good luck for studies!

Thanks Dipti & Malithahe for ur kind words.
