hello all,
this forum really helped me a lot so i thought i should put in my bit about the exam. i honestly have no idea how i did....its very hard to judge after 9 hours. all i can think of now is all the questions im sure i got wrong and the ones i just guessed. really hope i pass atleast!!! i got quite a few qs which were really step 1 knowledge...framed like step 2 qs but then they asked a basic science thing like the pathophysiology or the way a drug works etcetc. or the physiology.
i studied from kaplan and only used UW for questions along with kaplan q-book.
my score was about 60-70% in UW, 75% in kaplan. but just not sure how i did today. there were some ethics qs that i was really not sure about.
my advice for what its worth....remember some of the main things from step 1 as well i also got a lot of questions from rheumatology...more than i expected. as well as psychiatry, which was a bit surprising.
all the best everyone...i hope to god i never have to take this exam again!!!!!

thanks for you suggestions. hope you get the corresponding score as you got in the uw and kaplan. it coresponds to around 85-90 i think??

I felt the same after the exam.
Couldnt remember a thing; 9 hours takes a toll on you.
But dont worry. The fact that u did 65-70 % on USMLEWORLD should virtually assure you of passing the exam. Dont worry be happy u deserved it.

good luck for your results hopdoc...i joined this site recently but am really amazed at how everybody has been helping out each other...i am preparing the same way yu guys are doing and so it feel good to know that i am on the right path...
how's kaplan qbank compared to usmleworld qbank...i know people are all suggesting usmleworld qbank but still curious...and for the step 1 , usmleworld does not have a qbank so is it kaplan qbank for the step 1 then or is there something better...
would really appreciate any help...good luck again.

Thank you for your good wishes everyone. I really hope things work out. As for Step 1 achilles, I am not the best person to answer. I didnt use any online Q-banks. I used the BRS series of Q-books and the Kaplan Q-book. Also has some LWW Cd that one of my friends gave me. Which might explain why I did so poorly in Step 1 Well I didnt really study much either...had a lot of other things going on...
nways personally I feel UW is better for Step 2 than Kaplan Q bank, but you can trust me only after I get my result back!!!
