If you have failed Step 3 in the past, you CAN PASS!! I just wanted to share the ups and downs of getting through this test and what resources worked for me. Hopefully, I can give someone else encouragement. I changed the way I studied and used different resources the last round and it worked! I also have lots of resources I want to get rid of if anybody is interested. You can email me at kaseyspoonamore@gmail.com.

What helped me was narrowing my resources to Kaplan notes, live lecture and using the videos. The lectures, live or on video will allow you to understand key concepts that will be tested. I just studied from the books the first time I took Step 3 and failed. You really need the supplement of the videos or lecture. I would recommend the video if you can't do both (lecture and video) since you can re-review them. If you listen to the instructors twice a long with your books you will do fine. For Q's do Kaplan Q bank, and USMLEWORLD Q bank. Again, Singular focus really helped me. It's important to review, and review and review the same notes so when your sitting in the test, you can refer to them in your memory. Because you know them so well, it gives you a lot of confidence which you will definetly need for the test!

Also the questions on the exam have too much depth to reley on books like Crush the boards.

Time, I had a huge problem with time the first take. So when I did practice tests, I focused on answering each question with in 60 seconds. Remember the last 3 questions are pretty easy so its important to get to them

I do not like Family Swanson--I just felt like I was swimming in a sea of knowledge. It only reviews the material with little focus on mastering the material " with a step 3 mentality", I thought they had a lot of mistakes--I had their 1997? edition. It just didn't drive me to a focus point like Kaplan did. I also felt confident about what would be asked on the exam after listening to the Kaplan instructors

Crush the board was worthless for me because it doesn't explain any of the clinical pathology, its just memorizing.

Let me know if anybody wants to buy my books/resources!
