Hi, i think i am little confused about my concepts in immunology. I was wondering if there are more people out there like me we can discuss our concepts here. Like the very basic questions no fancy stuff e.g My first question is .What happens when 1.a virus enters body? 2.A bacteria 3.an antigen to which we have previously been exposed to? 4.an antigen against which we have been immunized previously? just your first thoughts that comes to mind. thankyou

virus is processed and presented to the CD8 by MHC1 and CD8 secretes perforins, granzymes , cytokines and FAS ligands which kill the target cell extracellular bacteria are internalised and processed by MHC2 and are presented to the CD4 which secretes cytokines to actvate macrophages and B cells , plasma cells first secrete IgM then from CD 4 gets signals to switch class and starts secreting IgG or A or E secondary exposure to the same antigens ... the memory cells proliferate and secrete the relavant antibody , secondary immune response is stronger and more specific.
