distal part of penile urethra forms from an ectodermal ingrowth called glandular plat, which become canalized to form the navicular fossa. prostatic urethrab , membranous and proximal part of urethra form from lower end of urogenital sinus. female urethra and vestibule of the vagina from from lower end of urogenital sinus.
