Encapsulated strains of Haemophilus influenzae are typable strains-it's the type B and has polyribitol phosphate capsule.It causes more VIOlent diseases-meningitis,epiglotitis,sepsis etc.

Nontypeable strains of Haemophilus(thus not having polyribitol phosphate) are causing otitis media.
