Which are the negative RNA viruses?

The gram -ve cocci(Neisseria)are oxidase +ve by virtue of presence of cytochrome C.

niessaria, pseudomonas,campylobacter n h.pylori r oxidase +.


neg RNA Virussticking out tonguearamyxo,arena,rhabdo,fili,orthomyxo,bunyavirus.

one more to add for oxidase + is vibrio.

A useful pnemonic for the negative RNA viruses is

Para Rabbits/ Fight Over Bunnies Area.

Orthomyxo
Bunya
Arena
*only the last 3 are segmented/all use RNA dep RNA polymerase/most replicate in the cytoplasm, the exception is Orthomyxo which can replicate in nucleus or cytoplasm
