Hi,
I am pretty new to this forum. But I think that this forum where one can post the events in the journey to our ultimate goal is a nice one. I am a medical intern and yet to start preparing for USMLE seriously enough. Oh, please don't think that I am just another lazy bone. It is pretty difficult to find enough time after a tiring day in the hospital after doing all that ward work. We have to be on call for long hours. By the time I sit in front of my books, fatigue sets in.
I had thought about blogging my journal in a blog site. But then I will be out of touch with my friends who are in the same boat as I am.

I am starting with pharmacology coz it has been always an interesting subject to me and will be useful for my internship too. I have to prescribe drugs as an intern and hence I think it is fit as a subject to be learnt in depth as early as possible.
I have just begun revising what I have already learnt during the med school days. Autonomic drugs have always been a little challenging type coz of the complexity of the receptor sites, drug actions etc. I have just begun with Kaplan. I can just pray to God to be able to study well.

A senior colleague of mine who is also in the same journey as I am but a little ahead, advised me to trust KAPLAN and study it by heart. I was actually thinking of attempting USMLE type questions while reading the textual materials as I wasn't getting a real feel of how the questions will be for the exam.
I think that he is right and that I must master the theory first before going through model questions. A task which is at hand must be completed first before taking up another task or else I'll be left with all tasks half done.
