It is lateral medullary syndrome /PICA syndrome. The PICA is a branch of the vertebral artery. It affects the dorsal medullary plate and portions of postero medial cerebellum. The affected parts include: 1) Lower vestibular nuclei: vertigo and nystagmus. 2) Inferior cerebellar peduncles - dyarthria, dysphagia, staggering gait, hypotonia, inco-ordination of voluntary movements. 3)Spinothalamic tract - hence loss of pain and tempature senses on opposite side. 4)Hypothalamic sympathetic fibres that go with spinothalamic in the brain stem - hence horner's on same side. Again , I liked Kaplan notes for it.
