Hi,
What's the most common cause of stroke? Is it due hypertension or due to diabetic artheroscelrosis ?

i think MAJOR cause of storke is interuption of blood supply... so, atherosclerosis ( thrombosis)

But atherosclerosis is increased in diabetics, but still i think the risk is higher in hypertension.

thrombotic stroke is more common than heamorragic stroke..

Most common type of stroke is Ischemic Stroke..due to thrombus, hence Atherosclerosis is the answer.
Well , in hemorrhagic stroke due to burst of aneurysm, there the cause goes with Hypertention..
I think first we should pick up ,which is most common , then go with the cause.

but the question says DIABETIC atherosclerosis not atherosclerosis in general?
