i am new here.i did my MBBS from india and now i am reading for USMLE. i want to do my application for 2007 match. right now i am doing my healthcare administration course in USA. i am on F1 visa.
my question is - will this degree(healthcare administartion) be helpful while applying for residency? if it is not helpful then i am planning to leave it.

A research oriented degree / clinically oriented degree or the latest craze - Health Informatics - seems to help better than management degrees
however, any MS has an advantage of giving you the OPT visa - if you time your graduation well and save your OPT status for the start of residency , you could bargain better for an H1 visa and secondly have more time for step 3 !
