i just got confused on left &rt heart failure.........forward and backward heart failure..?i understand forward left heart failure........cuz left heart unable to pump blood ,cause back flow to lungs.

why do we call backward heart failure on rt side??? its also not pumping pumping blood to lungs. then how we say backward--why not forward? i m lilconfused on terminolgy??

well just a quick one

i think this is so because the left heart is dealing with c.o. which is decreased when we have a left heart failkure

but in the right heart failure , the heart affects the organs behind , more than anything else, like the liver, and increased jvp, and edema. so may be the backward heart failure
