Hi, I'm a newbie. I have just subscribed to the mailing list. IMHO it is a good idea to provide RSS feeds to the forums. It will help to keep in touch with all the favourite forums in a shorter time and uses lesser bandwidths. I was just giving a suggestion. Go on with your good work "prep4usmle" (I was about to post this in the thread which was about the mailing lists when it said that I am not allowed to resurrect an old thread as a newbie)

Hi prep4usmle, Thanks for the links. I didn't expect a reply so quick! Why a "sad" smilie? I have already started using RSS feeds for all the forums using "feedtier" But it doesn't give a preview of the contents in a post. It gives only the titles. So the links which are provided by the website itself is better than what can be obtained from the above mentioned service. Regards!

It stands for "Rich Site Summary" or "Really Simple Syndication". RSS links usually end with a .xml extension. They are "feeds" offered by websites which keep the readers informed of any new or changing contents on their websites. It is a fantastic tool to view all the fresh contents of a website as the contents are light. These files are very small in size and don't consume precious bandwidth or take much time to load. There are both online and offline viewers available for reading those xml feeds. You can try out readers like "Pluck" which can be installed in your PC or online readers like Google reader" or "Newsburst" or "Newsgator"..there is a lot to chose from. I use "Pluck" which I think is the best in my opinion.
