i am fine. just picking up my pace. this immunology is so dense. i thought everything will seem easy after pharma but this is not what looks like now 
yesterday i slept like 11 hrs. i cant belive it. may be its because summer is starting. exam date is coming near. may be its the stars 
taday i will plan to read 35 pages of levinson.
50 Qs kaplan, in tutor mode.

This time i solved Qbank in tutor mode.
and it was so much better. seeing the explainations for first time. otherwise whenever i got result i postpone seeing the explainations. 
this is the way you learn.
BUT the scores are still so low. 40%
it only shows how little i know........

never mind 40%, it will improve. now you have seen the answers to your blunders, you will not make similar mistakes again so your scores and knowledge will improve. i stopped a test once after 22 questions cos i got only 10 correct!!!

Good 26malik..U really did a wonderful job>tutor mode!There u really learn a lot! i used to do the same.Don't worry abt the scores , U ll pick up!REAL SCORE matters ur final xams not ur practice sessions!U ve right chance to make mistakes here,these r never forgotten and 'll definitely gonna help u in final

That sounds good to me as well..I am gonno do the same..whatever how muchever mistakes we can do ..lets do it, later..that is what reminds us of the correct answer in the real exam..

Hey 26malik
I just came across this forum. It is so nice that you are updating and telling everyone about your experience of studying. I just graduated from Pakistan, actually I just got my result 2 days ago... heheh... and now I am also planning to do either USMLE or MCC... I think USMLE is a better option, but my fiance says that USMLE is tooo hard, that there is too much to study, comparing to MCC.
What I wanted to ask you 26malik is that how long time are you planning to study for USMLE part 1 and do you know anyone else who did it... how long prep time did they give to it... like if you do intense study only and no work... then what time frame is realistic...?? I know it is very individual, but we all do give university exams at the same time.. dont we know... we have a limited time frame and we do it... well... I hope you can inlighten me a bit on this and help me on the road....

just visiting. keep up your spirit malik. it is 'doable' everyone who has gone has got a postive report to make. let us be encouraged by teh fact that some people have scored high marks and so can we. let us look at successes and not failures. let us look forward and not backwards.

I finished Immuno from kaplan. also q bank. score not good but i did learned alot
now i will start micro. my plan was to review immuno from levinson, but time.
i will try to review it if i could squeez a few hours. as i am definitely not satisfied from kaplan. i could not develop concept from it.

now i will start micro.
there is bacteriology, virology, parasitology & fungi. i have done it from MRS. but i have not solved the Qs. this time i have to solve kaplan Qs as well as Qbank and Q book. so actually i have just given it a reading before.
i dont like micro because it involves all cramming stuff. learning by heart long tables and lists...
that is so boring. which bacteria are aerobic, which are not, pathogens. and then there is virus structure. so its long and boring.
but i have to do it and do it quick. so i must stop saying these things and get back to work. i plan to finish it in this week. meaning 4 days.
difficult but possible.
just do it.

Micro is just repeatition, do your flashcard, create gross mnemonics, everything that can help you to get it cold. Good luck!

26malik..I am aiming for micro from today, well not more than a chapter a day I guess, I am straight gonno work on pneumonics and start memorizing. Dont worry its doable but you have to combine with some subjects..before you get saturated.

hey malik,can i suggest you something?open last chaptor of charts and table in kaplan.and also systemic micro .start reading from there and then read theary of those bacteria from chapters.so just dont mug up.try to compare bact and viro with same symptoms.it will help you a lot.thats wht i did,but everybody has diff method.
